That means the students set to begin work or head off to college would have some difficulty attending. Here's the school district's solution.

IT'S NO SURPRISE, but the county extended its emergency declaration through August.

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON:
•Lauren Brant, our digital content coordinator, is finding out what retail stores opening back up means to shoppers.
•City reporter Mckenzie Moore is asking whether a local company's efforts to hide the unsightliness of its facilities are enough for Tortilla Flats neighborhood residents.
•Staff writer Josue Perez is talking to Star Drive-In owner Pam Friend about the theater opening back up this weekend.
