TWO IN A ROW is the Montrose High School golf team's record after the team won their second consecutive golf tournament at the Adobe Creek golf course on Monday. The team hopes to continue that streak as it hosts two home tournaments Thursday and Friday. Perseids are best seen between 2 a.m. and dawn. People can expect to see meteors anytime it's dark. Meteors are visible to the naked eye. So what is a Perseid meteor? According to NASA, they are "caused by debris left behind by the Comet Swift-Tuttle." Considered one of the best meteor showers of the year, it promises high rates of meteors, but this year, has the unfortunate circumstances of the moon phase reducing the visibility of the shower's peak. AUTOPSY RESULTS: Officers responding to a 911 call on Sara E. Lane in July found a grim scene: The home's younger resident was dead of a shotgun blast and another body was found in a barrel. According to the autopsy report for Andrew T. Courser, 34, his manner of death was listed as a suicide. His father, Thomas M. Courser, 73, was the deceased person found in a barrel. |
