Oh the weather. While some areas around Montrose have reported 9 inches of snow. At the Montrose Daily Press building, we have around 6 inches on the ground. Today at our press facility we will print six local newspapers including the Silverton Standard and Rio Blanco Herald. They're drivers will make the trek today on the snow packed roads to pick up and deliver their weekly editions. Others include the Ouray Plaindealer, Telluride Daily Planet, The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel and of course our very own Montrose Daily Press. City of Montrose PIO William Woody grabbed some extraordinary photos this morning. The city employees and residents were digging out from the overnight snow. Montrose County offices and schools were closed today. Safety first! Here's a few examples of William's work. The above is my favorite.
