What's happening, Montrose?

Image

Hi and hello,

August is just about over, which is just mind-boggling to type.

As we near September, we have a special group of graduates to congratulate - 16 students, through the Hispanic Affairs Project, graduated from CSU Extension's Aging Mastery Program on Friday.

The program is designed to help and prepare older Coloradans for everything that comes with aging in our country, while also creating new connections in communities with language or cultural barriers.

This cohort is the first of its kind in Montrose, and for many of these adult students, it's the first time they have had access to a resource like this. So here's to the work these incredible students put it, and for HAP and the CSU Extension team who made this possible.

Keep an eye out next week for the full story! Now let's see what's happening around town.

- Cassie
