A Big Decision
On Monday night, after two other meetings in which they didn't make a decision, county commissioners unanimously rejected a proposal to expand a controversial gravel pit.

We go to these things so you don't have to, and report on them so you can stay up-to-date on the most important things your local government is doing. But lots of you went to these meetings anyway. It looked like over a hundred on Monday night, and close to 200 at the meeting March 6. You guys cared about this one.

You've sent us letters to the editor and copied us on emails to be sure we were on top of the issue. When the decision was made, some broke into applause.

What's next?

For me, it's digging into three new bills related to the wolf reintroduction, meeting Montrose Regional Health's newest Walter Reed-trained doc and watching the city's newest distillery break ground.

Stay tuned!
