Hi, I'm Kylea
If you've been reading the Daily Press regularly, you probably noticed some new bylines. If you didn't, it's ok, my feelings aren't hurt. My name is Kylea Henseler, and I'm the newest reporter at the MDP.
I moved to the Western Slope last summer and started working with the Press just a few weeks ago.
You might have seen me at the three hour BOCC meeting regarding the proposed gravel pit March 6, or at the MEDC annual meeting last Thursday. If you've been reading the paper, you may have also spotted some of my latest articles about the Region 10 workforce housing study (this just in: we need more) or the launch of a new Geyser Systems product last week.
Since my colleagues already cover the city, county, and plenty more, I've been working on stories related to housing, healthcare and the great outdoors. On that note, stay tuned for an update on what's going on with those shiny new Basecamp apartments.
Cheers!

Sen. Cleave Simpson, R-Alamosa, has seen one bill succeed which paves a path for psychologists to earn prescribing power. Another in the works will change the relationship between doctors and physician assistants in the state.

Sen. Will Perry, R-New Castle, is also tackling the issue by sponsoring a bill that would allow the state to reimburse pharmacies for providing childhood vaccines and granting pharm techs more responsibility
