CO Springs school votes to remove Native Am. mascot: The board of the Cheyenne Mountain School District voted yesterday 4-1 to retire the Indian the mascot of Cheyenne Mountain High School. The board has been deliberating the proposal since September before the ultimate vote last night.

The bill introduced in the Colorado General Assembly to ban Native American mascots last month is scheduled to be discussed in the education committee on April 1. SB21-116 would require schools with Native American mascots, such as Montrose High School, to change the mascot by June 2022 or pay a $25,000 monthly fine.



Testing for COVID vaccines in children starting: Moderna has announced that it will enroll nearly 7,000 children ages 6 months to 12 years old in trials to determine the efficacy and acceptable dose of the vaccine.

Children between 2 to 12 years old will receive one of two different doses while toddlers and infants between 6 months and 2 years old will receive one of three.
