Who will lead the Colorado GOP? Party leaders are convening on Sunday to elect a new state chairperson. Two frontrunners have emerged in a field of five as the potential next candidate for the party.

Kristi Burton Brown, the party's current vice chairman, is backed by Rep. Lauren Boebert. Burton Brown advocated for passing a 'personhood' amendment in 2008, one of the first of its kind in the US. While the amendment failed, Burton Brown rose to a prominent position in conservative circles.

Scott Gessler was Colorado's Secretary of State from 2011-15. Although the measure was opposed by most of the GOP at the time, he was in charge when Colorado's universal vote-by-mail system was deployed.

The Colorado Republican Party has lost about 63,000 members since 2018. (On the other hand, the Democratic Party has lost around 13,600 voters amid a broader political shift and as more voters register as unaffiliated.)

Dominion Voting sues Fox News for $1.6 billion: The Denver-based company has sued Fox News, alleging that the network repeatedly aired false claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.

Dominion has also sued Trump's former campaign lawyers Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani for $1.3 billion. Another voting technology company, Smartmatics, also filed suits last month seeking billions of dollars in damages from Fox News and Trump's campaign lawyers.

Employees of Dominion Voting Systems, which manufactures and sells hardware and software for the voting process, have been harassed and even faced death threats because of the false allegations.

Boat in Suez Canal is still there: The big cargo ship that's wedged in the middle of the Suez canal, blocking most maritime traffic between Europe and Asia, is still stuck.

Authorities aren't sure exactly how long it will last, either: the ship might become dislodged from the banks within the next few days at the earliest, but it could take up to a couple weeks.
