Digging in at CO Outdoors

In case you hadn't noticed, it's been a little windy this week. But that wasn't enough to stop the founders of Shelter Distilling, an upcoming addition to the Colorado Outdoors complex, from digging shovels into the ground on Monday to celebrate the groundbreaking of the company's new flagship.

Well, it kind of was. Mother Nature decided the event wouldn't be held outside due to the gusts, but founders Matt, Jason and Karl seemed just as happy to ceremoniously hold shovels over the carpet inside the Mayfly Building. And pour a few drinks.

Not that I had any, of course.

Read all about the groundbreaking in our latest business section, and keep an eye out for future business sections tackling food trucks, high water and a vet-owned clothing company that plans to set up shop here in town.

And if you haven't looked at our website yet today, check in to see the latest breaking news; there's a lot of it today, including the most recent update on an SUV that crashed into the living room of a Spring Creek Road resident.
