Airlines ground Boeing planes: An engine failed on a Boeing 777 shortly after a United Airlines flight left Denver International Airport for Honolulu Saturday. Several airlines have since decided to ground all their jets powered by the Pratt & Whitney engine that failed. You probably saw this story over the weekend, the photos of debris scattered throughout Denver, and a video captured buy a passenger on the plane has gotten more than 13 million views on Twitter.

Snowy Montrose: Last week, Montrose was blanketed with snow. Though most of it is gone now, we put together a collection of photos showing just how pretty our town is when we receive winter precipitation.

Half a million COVID deaths: The United States will today surpass 500,000 COVID-19-related deaths, by far the most of any country in the world. Many families across the country don't want their family members viewed as statistics. Montrose County has recorded 52 deaths to date. Check out this Johns Hopkins University interactive graphic, where you can see more detailed data. You can also track deaths by day here.
