"I under-reported a lot of stuff": Lauren Boebert, Montrose's representative in Congress, re-filed her campaign finance report on Monday after red flags were raised earlier this month. However, the updated report still raised many concerns. Here are some key takeaways from the report. - $21,199.52: what Boebert reimbursed herself for mileage between April 1 and the end of the campaign
- $9,797.72: how much Rep. Scott Tipton, Boebert's predecessor, spent on travel reimbursements over a decade
- $850: the amount that Boebert's opponent in the general election, Diane Mitsch Bush, was reimbursed for travel
Results from the 2020 Census will be announced in September. Here's how that could affect redistricting.
According to an analysis from the Colorado Sun, the 3rd congressional district has only grown by 5%, which is the lowest among all of the other congressional districts. Changes in our district's boundaries are less likely than others in the Denver area, but there is a small chance that Pueblo County could be removed. The changes will be announced by a yet-to-be-formed independent commission with 12 members by December 15.

Pfizer and Moderna are boosting vaccine supply: After a few months of widely-publicized shortages with the initial rollout of vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna have announced that they will be able to boost production and be able to at least double production by the end of March.
Some rural areas in the state, such as San Juan County, have been vaccinating at a higher rate than most urban areas. As of Feb. 18, Montrose County has vaccinated approximately 150 out of every 1,000 inhabitants.
