Good afternoon! It's Josue. Montrose County School District announced its guidance for the 2021-2022 school year today. Staff Writer Anna Lynn Winfrey reported on what the guidance means for Montrose and Olathe schools.
Also, some news for parents and local fans. There won't be any capacity limits for athletic events, which means the Montrose faithful can pack the stands like they did pre-pandemic.
Show time: The Montrose County Fairgrounds were filled with attendees during the Junior Swine Show on Wednesday. It was day six of the Montrose County Fair, and there's still time left if you haven't been able to head to the Fairgrounds.
The rodeo ends August 1, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday have full schedules with multiple events.
Mark your calendars: Want to meet local community leaders? The 2021 Citizens of Distinction event is next Friday at the Montrose Pavilion from 6 — 9 p.m. The ceremony will honor those leaders' involvement and efforts during the pandemic throughout 2020.
Attendees can expect dinner, drinks, cash bar and more! Tickets are available now.
A matter of pride: Ouray County hosted its first pride celebration this past Sunday in Ridgway. Around 250 people were on hand to celebrate the event.
