Adventure on the big screen

From April 24-28, Carbondale-based 5 Point Film Festival will be showing some of the coolest adventure films out there. But, you don't have to travel across the Western Slope to get a taste of some of the best adventure short films in the game.
Next Friday, April 19, MDP Events will be hosting 5 Point Adventure Film Festival on the Road for the second time in three months, after our first- go-round brought in so many viewers we had to bring down extra seats.
Doors for the event will open 6:30, with the lights going down and the screen lighting up at 7. We'll have more detail in next week's arts and entertainment section, but I'll just say, if adventure films are up your alley, it's worth snagging tickets. And the flagship festival later this month will feature all new films, so if you like what you see it might be worth a ride.
The films we'll be showing aren't just beautifully shot, they feature stories that highlight humanity through the lens of sports ranging from skateboarding to speed flying and skiing.
For those who attended last time, there will be a few repeat films— this is just because of how 5  Point's On The Road program works. But if you haven't had a chance to watch any of the film selection, or you want to catch your favorite reel again, join us next week!

Cheers,

Kylea from the newsroom
