TODAY IS D-DAY: It's the day in 1944 that American and allied troops invaded the beach at Normandy, France. It was the largest air, land and sea invasion in history. Here are some things you may not know about D-Day.

GOODBYE TO JCPENNEY: We learned about a month ago that JCPenney stores across the country would close — 154, to be exact. It was announced Thursday that the Montrose location would be one of them. Fort Collins and Greeley stores are also among those to announce closure. The JCPenney at the River Landing shopping center first opened in 2007 to a good crowd. In 2017, the department store announced 138 closures, but the Montrose store survived then.
