Floyd protest
TAKING TO THE STREETS: Montrose political leaders and others on Monday condemned the killing of George Floyd, 44, an African American man from Minneapolis, allegedly due to police conduct, which ignited protests nationwide, as well as local demonstrations.

REC DISTRICT REOPENS: The Montrose Recreation District announced on Sunday in a news release its reopening plans. The Community Recreation Center (CRC) will have a limited reopening today.
With limited spots, MRD staff strongly recommends patrons who wish to visit the CRC at this time register online at www.montroserec.com. Drop-ins are allowed, but are not guaranteed due to capacity limitations.

Summer Superhero series

ESCAPE THE ORDINARY: Superheroes will jump out of the book this summer as Delta County School District (DCSD) partners with Delta County Libraries and Delta County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) to offer a Summer Superhero series to promote learning and fun for students in grades K-12.
